For every connection made, there are ten rejections  and that’s just on a good day.

Every year, hundreds if not thousands of new agents burst onto the Bangalore real estate scene. The competition is fierce, and standing out takes time, patience, and resilience. Income stability? That’s an optimistic fantasy, especially in your first year. Many experienced agents will tell you: be prepared to grind for at least 12 months before you see any sense of stable income and even then, “stable” is a relative term.

 Reality Bites, But So Does Experience

There are tough clients, difficult property owners, and the occasional associate who makes the journey even more challenging. Some clients won’t pay, some deals fall through last minute, and some people, frankly, won’t make your day any easier. The road is bumpy, filled with lessons you don’t learn in any training manual.

But here’s the beautiful contradiction the journey, for all its ups and downs, is incredibly rewarding in the long run. After 12 years in the Bangalore real estate industry, what sticks isn’t just the deals closed, but the wealth of experience gained, the friendships formed, and the associates who eventually become family. The challenges foster growth, thick skin, and genuine relationships you won’t find elsewhere.

Know this: it’s not a fallback, but a commitment. Enter the industry only if you’re ready for its gritty realities and unpredictable turns. Your first year will likely be your toughest test financially, emotionally, and mentally. But for those who stick it out, the rewards go far beyond commission checks.
